Here at Speednet Scotland we are running our own initiative to combat the slow internet speeds that the majority of residential Scotland 

currently recieves. It is not just in rural areas that problems are present. As much as 66% of Scotland is suffering from cripling speeds of 

2mb or less. As a result of this our economy could experience real problems in the future. It is our mission to provide at least 8mb 

broadband regardless of location. We are working alongside MP's and councillors to tackle this widespread issue. We are already 

succeeding with our strategy and will continue to replace inadequate landline infrastructures with our new wireless services.

Don't worry because Speednet Scotland can provide you with a fast and reliable service that we're sure you'll be delighted with. We are

able to provide our customers with wireless broadband regardless of many logistical and exchange related problems. Through our

wireless technology we are able to reach out to customers in even the most remote locations with 20mb speeds. Very often prior to 

knowing about us our customers did not even have any internet access at all. At present we are providing all Ayrshire households with

our unique total telecom solution.

We have residential broadband networks running throughout Ayrshire and who knows you may even have one of ours close by and not 

even realise. You may not have heard of our company before or be aware of the technology that we use. The difference between

ourselves and our competitors is that we offer fixed point to point airborne communications that are not dependant upon landlines or any

satellites. These two alternatives can be more costly and significantly less effective, especially in remote areas. Your Speednet Scotland

receiver will directly communicate in a line of sight relay with our transmitter feeding your area. We offer contention ratios of 20-1 rather

than the general 50-1 of our competitors. In essence this means your speeds are far less affected by other online users, especially 

during peak times. 

Installation

Our dedicated engineers are fully qualified to complete your installation swiftly, with minimal fuss and no disturbance to your interior

decor or exterior structure. Featured here are two of our typical residential customers. As you can see the speednet receiver is very 

compact and discreet. The device is mounted to a suitable high point, giving you access to the service you require via a line of sight to

our transmitter or 360 degree station repeater. Our engineer will hard wire a network cable into your home which will plug directly into

your router, laptop or PC. At this point the service will then go live and you will be receiving your allocated download speed. Your service

is optimised thereafter within the first 24 hours of service. After the engineer has installed the ethernet cable from the receiver into your 

home, our broadband installation job is done. If you are having an additional voip service installed we will then connect the analog

adapter to your existing handsets and then into your router accordingly. Whilst we do sell high spec wireless routers for a cost of 40.00

pounds, we are not responsible for the set up of any internal wireless network system during the installation of the broadband service. If

you are not technically minded we do provide additional chargable IT services to meet your requirements fully. As with any internet

service provider it is our sole job to get the broadband live to an access point in your home. Speednet Scotland broadband and VOIP

works on month to month 28 day rolling contract which can be paid by direct debit monthly or annually.
